Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Bernie is an experienced qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. She holds a Dip, Bsc(Hons) First Class Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is accredited with the IACP. With a strong background working at the frontline in public service, specifically in one to one individual case work and relationship building. Bernie has developed excellent communication and people skills, working in confidential environments.
Bernie works from a Person Centered, Integrative approach, and is committed to helping her clients explore their difficulties and concerns in a safe, non judgemental environment. Working collaboratively with her clients Bernie believes in each person’s innate wisdom and ability to reach their full potential, making effective and positive life changes.
The areas she works with include relationship issues, parenting issues, self esteem, anxiety, grief-work, loss & bereavement.
She is committed to continued professional development and believes in keeping up to date and current with the social and societal pressures and issues experienced by her clients.
