Viviane is a bilingual fully qualified and accredited psychotherapist, with a Masters in Clinical Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy from the Tivoli Institute. Working with adults and young people 16+.(Offering Therapy in English and Portuguese).
Before training as a psychotherapist she worked as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Units, of two of the largest university hospitals in Brazil for a period of 6 years. During this time she worked with dying patients, gaining insights and learning about the experience of existence, including grief and loss. Viviane also worked as a public health nurse in remote areas in Brazil for 9 years, particularly with communities facing socioeconomic disadvantage. These experiences during nursing directly influenced her growth as a person and a professional. Bringing her attention to different issues, including issues of inequality in societies.
Viviane has a real passion for being a psychotherapist. She started working with clients when she was 19 years old as a trainee nurse, leading her to enjoy being a psychotherapist. Continuously learning in the therapeutic encounter while helping people reach their full potential by meeting them where they are.
She brings the concept that we are, body, mind and spirit into her practice. As an integrative psychotherapist Viviane is aware about the importance of connecting these parts in order to support and empower clients. As part of her approach, she uses a variety of theories such as psychodynamic, person centred, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), psychosynthesis, image work, mindfulness and meditation.
Working with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Self-esteem, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Cultural Differences, Migration, Women’s health, Parenting, Gender Diversity and Managing Chronic Illness.
